The area around Asti, where the Cassettas have their shop, is famous for truffles. They use real black truffles and truffle oil to make their Salame al Tartufo, and their aroma can be smelt as soon as the salame is cut open. The truffle flavour is intense and delicious, and the texture of this small salame very tender.
