These sweet salad onions are thickly sliced, pickled and then preserved in extra virgin olive oil with raisins, pine nuts and a pinch of clove. They are brilliant served with cheeses or charcuterie but also as a side dish to grilled meat and fish. They are In Agrodolce which means sweet and sour so there is some sugar in the oil for the ultimate Italian style pickle.
